Hello, my name is Whitney Wilson. I have been diagnosed with mild Fatty liver. I m concerned as to if this Condition can go away with healthy dieting, exercise, and change in eating habits? Can this Condition go away and will the fat leave the liver. Am I at risk for Hepatitis due to this mild fatty liver??? Please Help
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, fatty liver is reversible. It is fairly common with modern lifestyle of junk eating, alcohol and obesity contributing vastly towards aft accumulation in the liver. Yes, dieting, or even dietary modifications, adding more veggies, avoiding or minimizing alcohol consumption will help along with exercise. You risk yourself to Alcoholic hepatitis or Alcoholic liver disease if you continue to consume large amounts of alcohol at this stage.
Take care, Regards
